(The 19.1 upgrade was installed on top of a cloned 18.3 system.) The problem does not exist when running Linux Mint 18.3 under this same environment. Both Krusader and QT Creator fail on all terminals. The problem is further complicated because Terminator does not exhibit the problem when started on the local terminal. Other applications that do not have a problem include xfce4-terminal, Dolphin file manager, CodeLite, Synaptic Package Manager. Specific applications that exhibit the problem include Firefox, Krusader file manager, QT Creator and Terminator. When I press escape to cancel, I then see the Linux full screen. The way to get the screen back from black is to press Ctrl-Alt-Delete on the Windows host which brings up the Windows 10 Lock/Switch Users/Sign Out/. If I am running scaled mode or seamless, the problem does not happen. PROBLEM: When I start specific applications on Linux on any terminal (remote or local), the local host screen goes black regardless of where I start the application ONLY if I am running VB in full screen mode. I have 3 systems-two running Xming X-Windows or cygwin X-windows for remote access, one running VB hosting Linux. Linux system is remotely accessed using Xming or cygwin remote X-Windows support. I am in the process of sorting out Linux Mint 19.1 upgrade issues and have a problem which I am not sure if it is a Linux issue or a Virtualbox issue.ĮNVIRONMENT: I am running Linux Mint 19.1 as a guest on a Windows 10 host 1803 under VB 5.2.26.
